The Catapult was specifically designed for Long-Range Support, as it's LRM 20's might show. It works best in conjunction with a small spotter mech, such as the Jenner, armed with AMTS rockets. The AMTS rockets, when attached to an enemy, make the LRM's almost totally on target. The Catapult is an envied mech, as it has ample cockpit space, long-range weaponry, and good speed. It just doesn't perform well in close range combat.
