The Mace is an excellent multi-role fighter. Used against cruisers and other 'light' ships, it is maneuverable enough to take on most fighters as well. As one of the most armored Clan fighters, it has an almost fabled role in fighter squadrons. Rumor has it that Mace pilots always ask when the next meal is, and they always make it back. Only 1 Mace has ever been shot down in combat, and that was because it's engine failed, and an enemy cruiser hit it with a torpedo.
